We are delighted to invite you to participate in the 2026 International Dark Sky Forum, taking place in Taipei, Taiwan, 12–14th October 2026.

We are pleased to announce that the Call for Abstracts is now open. Submissions are invited under the approved sessions, each aligned with one of the eight broad Symposium themes related to night-sky preservation, sustainable lighting, astronomy, ecology, and cultural heritage.

Submission deadline: Friday, 1 May 2026, 11:59 p.m. (Taipei Time).
Abstracts may be submitted for consideration as:

  • Oral presentations (12+3 minutes,)
  • Posters

Each submission should include a 300-word abstract (plain text) along with all contributing authors and their affiliations. Abstracts will be reviewed by session chairs and co-chairs, with final selections based on quality, relevance, and alignment with the Symposium’s overarching themes.

We particularly encourage submissions from researchers, practitioners, and advocates from developing regions, as we strive to create a diverse, inclusive, and globally representative program.

We look forward to receiving your abstract and to welcoming you to Taipei for an inspiring exchange of ideas and collaboration under the shared vision of protecting the night sky for future generations.
